**Bhubaneswar:** BJP’s candidate for Bhubaneswar-Central Assembly seat, Jagannath Pradhan, along with his supporters staged dharna in front of the ADM office here on Saturday alleging the poll affidavit filed by his BJD contender, Anant Narayan Jena, as incomplete.
As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), a candidate has to fill up all the columns in his affidavit. However, Jena has left some columns blank. Even after submitting an application in this regard, the Returning Officer has not taken any action on it, alleged Pradhan.
Pradhan further accused Jena of holding an office of profit. While Jena has been appointed as the Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) on March 8, he filed his nomination papers without resigning from the post, said Pradhan and demanding rejection of his nomination papers.
The BJP activists further clashed with police when the latter tried to evict them from the spot. As per latest reports, two platoon of police force have been deployed at the spot to check any further untoward situation.
Jena, on the other hand, refuted the allegations and argued that he also knows law and all his papers are ready.
