BJP Candidate Prasanta Jagadev Arrested For Allegedly Vandalising EVM

Bhubaneswar: BJP candidate from Khordha Assembly seat Prasanta Jagadev was arrested for allegedly vandalizing an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and misbehaving with a presiding officer at a booth in Khordha on Saturday.

He has been sent to Khordha jail after medical examination.

He was arrested based on the complaint filed by the presiding officer.

According to reports, Jagadev barged into polling booth no. 114 of Kaunriapatna near Rajsunakhala under Bolagarh-Begunia assembly constituency while voting was underway today.

After barging into the polling booth Jagadev allegedly vandalized the EVM and fled the spot.

Jagadev also allegedly thrashed the presiding officer for protesting against his vandalism.
