Bhubaneswar: The BJP has expelled seven leaders, including State Executive Committee member Kalucharan Khandeitaray, for anti-party activities and violation of party discipline.
Their expulsion was approved by the State BJP chief Manmohan Samal, according to a party notification
Other leaders expelled from the party are- Jhansirani Das of Anandpur Assembly Constituency, Jugal Kishore Nayak of Karanjia Constituency, Bijay Kumar Dalbehera of Baramba, Dr Harish Sahu of Athagarh, Kamakhya Pradhan of Satyabadi and Satyapriya Behera of Jaydev Constituency.
Kalucharan Khandeitaray was an aspirant for a party ticket from the Khurdha assembly seat. However, the BJP has fielded Prashant Jagdev who switched from BJD recently.
