Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s 45th ‘Sthapna Diwas’, hundreds of party leaders and workers, including Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, party’s Odisha President Manmohan Samal, party in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, and several others, gathered at the BJP state headquarters in Bhubaneswar to commemorate the foundation day of the saffron front.
BJP President Manmohan Samal thanked the people of Odisha, stating that the party currently has 40 lakh members in the state, with a target to double this number this year.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his greetings, saying, “Heartiest greetings and congratulations to everyone on the foundation day of the world’s largest political party, Bharatiya Janata Party. With dedicated efforts from each member, worker, and leader, the party has become a nationwide movement. Let’s remember the determination and sacrifices of our workers and personalities who contributed to the party’s growth and work together to build a developed India and Odisha.”
Before the celebration at the party office, President Manmohan Samal hoisted the party flag at his residence in Bhubaneswar with a few workers. Hundreds of party workers gathered at the BJP headquarters, showcasing their support for the party and its leadership.
“Today marks the 46th foundation day of the BJP, and it coincides with the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. There is great enthusiasm among our karyakartas. Over the years, the party has gone through many struggles, and today, we are in power under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the third time, just as we were once led by the great Atal Bihari Vajpayee,” said state unit President Manmohan Samal.
Samal added that the party is blessed that the people of India have given it the mandate to serve them for the third time in the country and first time in Odisha.
The state BJP president asserted that the BJP now represents every section of the society.
“From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Dibrugarh to Gujarat, the party organisation has spread across the nation. We stand committed to the hopes and aspirations of the people. In Odisha too, the people have placed their trust in us. We are fully committed to building a Viksit Odisha and contributing to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. We will work tirelessly to fulfill this dream,” said Samal.
Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo and his wife MP Sangita Singh Deo also celebrated the party foundation day at their residence in Bolangir in the presence of local leaders and workers.
Local MLAs attended the event, highlighting the party’s unity and strength nationwide.
