BJP Khordha MLA Candidate Prasanta Kumar Jagadev Detained For Vandalizing EVM

Bhubaneswar: BJP Khordha MLA candidate Prasanta Jagadev has been detained by the police for allegedly vandalizing an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and beating a presiding officer.

According to reports, Jagadev barged into polling booth no. 114 of Kaunriapatna near Rajsunakhala under Bolagarh-Begunia assembly constituency while voting was underway today.

After barging into the polling booth Jagadev allegedly vandalized property inside the booth including an EVM and fled the spot.

Jagadev also allegedly thrashed the presiding officer for protesting against his vandalism.

He allegedly fled the spot in a vehicle in which BJP’s Bhubaneswar MP candidate Aparajita Sarangi was present.

Later, he was chased by the police and caught. He has been detained.
