Bhubaneswar: National president of Bharatiya Janata Party JP Nadda will hold a roadshow between Mausima Chhak and Lingaraj temple here today at 9 am.
He will also address two public meetings in Padmapur and Sundergarh at the afternoon.
After arriving at Bhubaneswar airport on Wednesday, he held a meeting with women activists of the saffron party at a hotel in Temple City.
Addressing the woman BJP activists, he said, “Modi government is giving much priority to the women empowerment. If a woman empowers, she can empower the whole nation.”
It is pertinent to note that Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday held a roadshow in Cuttack to bolster the prospects of party candidates in the simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha.
Standing on a saffron-coloured vehicle decorated with flowers, Shah embarked on the road show from Gopabandhu park, covering several important junctions in the city including Buxi Bazaar, Tinikonia Bagicha, Dargha Bazaar, Choudhry Bazaar, Naya Sarak, Balu Bazaar, Chandni Chhak and Mohammadia Bazaar and Chandi Mandir Chhak.
He was accompanied by BJP’s Cuttack Lok Sabha candidate Bhartruhari Mahtab and Cuttack-Barabati assembly candidate Dr Purna Chandra Mohapatra.
