Bhubaneswar: The BJP has announced plans to reach out to one crore families across Odisha as part of a massive public outreach campaign highlighting the achievements of the ‘double-engine’ government—referring to BJP’s governance at both Centre and state levels.
The campaign, beginning June 9, comes ahead of two milestones: the first anniversary of the Mohan Charan Majhi-led BJP government in Odisha on June 12 and the completion of 11 years of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. A high-level meeting was held at the BJP state headquarters to finalise programmes from booth to state level.
The campaign will showcase welfare initiatives, good governance, and promises fulfilled by the BJP, while also drawing attention to what the party describes as the poor governance track record of previous Congress and BJD regimes.
BJP spokesperson Surath Biswal said the party has already fulfilled 11 of the 21 poll promises made to Odisha’s voters and is on track to deliver the remaining well before the government’s term ends. Flagship programmes like Subhadra Yojana, expanded Ayushman Yojana, and farmer assistance schemes will be highlighted during the outreach.
The party also plans to inform people about national security under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, aiming to strengthen grassroots connections during the celebrations.
