BJP Under PM Modi Will Fight 2019 Polls On Development Plank: Dharmendra Pradhan

**Bhubaneswar: ** On the occasion of a rousing reception accorded to Union Petroleum and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan by the visibly jubilant BJP workers and leader of Odisha for his re-election to the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh, the senior saffron party leader exuded confidence of fairing well once again in the 2019 general polls as BJP under the able stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will enter into the fray on development plank.

On the sidelines of the rousing reception at the Odisha BJP Headquarters, Dharmendra Pradhan in his media reactions said, “2019 election will be fought on the development plank. Today under the leadership of Narendra Modi, a new height and recognition of development have been built up in the country. This will our electoral plank in the next general elections.”

“There is a possibility of big political change in Odisha as evident from the activities of all the political forces here. We’re accepting the challenge. BJP has for the first time began to be a pan-Odisha political force to reckon with in the wake of the 2016-17 Panchayat polls. Our party has strengthened its organisational capacity at each and every booth. I’m fully confident that BJP will be the alternative in Odisha under the leadership of Narendra Modi in 2019,” he averred.

He also reacted, “I have seen the lampooning of the Chief Minister. I know his mental state. Hence, I’ve congratulated him today. The politics which he (Naveen Patnaik) began in 1997, in 2009 he entered into a tacit pact with the Congress and playing politics. Now he has to come to the fore as such clandestine practice cannot last long in politics. Let him come in open to strike an alliance with the Congress. No problem with his tactful arrangement.”

“Congress for a pretty long period had meter out injustice to the Odia people. When BJD will join hands, we’ll get a big battle field to tango and well-prepared to face,” he quipped.
