All Indian Trinamool Congress MP from Jhargram of West Bengal Uma Saren also took oath in Santali after Hansdah.

It is learnt that Odisha MPs will leave for Delhi on Saturday evening to take oath in Lok Sabha on June 24. On this occasion, Mayurbhanj MP will take oath in the Santali language.

Majhi has decided to do so for the protection and preservation of tribal dialects.

It is pertinent to mention that the special session of the 18th Lok Sabha will convene on June 24 with the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected MPs, followed by the election of Lok Sabha Speaker on June 26.
