Bhubaneswar: The meeting of the State Executive Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) currently underway in Puri has entered its second day on Saturday.
According to sources, the meeting will discuss the prevailing political situation on the second day of the meeting. A political resolution will also be passed today.
It is learnt that the committee will engage in in-depth discussions and deliberations on the current political climate. Additionally, the party will finalize its future course of action and political programmes for the forthcoming days.
If sources are to be believed, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will address the committee members, highlighting the key achievements and progress made during his first month in office as the Chief Minister of Odisha. Subsequently, the state president will deliver the keynote address, sources said.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the first executive committee meeting of the BJP after it formed the government in Odisha, ending the 25-year rule of the Biju Janata Dal government.
Apart from national BJP President and Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, Deputy Chief Ministers K.V. Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, party’s regional in-charge Sunil Bansal, Odisha in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar and Ministers in the state government are present in the meeting.
