Bhubaneswar: The 5T School Transformation Programme has generated tremendous enthusiasm among students and parents. Along with the transformation of school infrastructure, the development of new facilities for reading such as e-libraries, science labs, smart classrooms, etc. are observed to have created interest in learning among children.
So far transformation work of 6883 high schools in the state has been completed in three phases. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed to complete the transformation work in all 8654 government high schools of the state by December 2023.
In this connection, 5T Secretary VK Pandian held a marathon meeting yesterday and today for two days with principals, students, alumni, school management committee members of 752 high schools and sarpanches in 101 blocks and two municipal corporations of nine districts including Ganjam, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Puri, Gajapati, and Dhenkanal.
Pandian discussed in detail how to implement the 5T school transformation programme in their schools. During the discussion, the students were particularly involved. He was open-minded about their needs. They gave their opinion about their needs.
It is worth mentioning that the 5T school transformation programme was started in 2021 from Chief Minister’s constituency Hinjili Shergarh. The transformation process of 6,883 high schools has been completed across the state in three phases.
The transformation process of all 8654 high schools of the state will be completed with the completion of the transformation of the infrastructure of 1771 high schools in the fourth phase.
The 5T school transformation programme has become a model for other states today and has helped increase the interest of students and parents in public education institutions.
