Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Additional Commissioner, Ratnakar Sahoo was rushed to Capital Hospital on Wednesday after he fell unwell during office hours.
According to reports, Sahoo experienced a sudden bout of illness while at work, prompting officials to immediately arrange for medical assistance.
The unexpected health situation caused momentary panic among staff at the civic body’s headquarters, but fortunately, Sahoo received timely attention. While the exact cause of his condition is yet to be disclosed, it comes after a recent controversy where he was allegedly assaulted by some individuals inside the BMC premises.
The assault incident had sparked widespread condemnation, with four persons arrested in connection. The Odisha Administrative Service Association had even announced a mass leave in protest, demanding strict action and protection for public servants.
