Bhubaneswar: Putting up posters in public places in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area has cost a multi-designer store dearly.
The BMC has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the multi-designer store ‘Evolve’ in Jaydev Vihar area for putting up posters on roadside trees, the BMC informed through X, formerly Twitter.
Team BMC imposed a penalty of Rs 50,000/- and lodged an FIR on Evolve (A Multidesigner Store) at Jaydev Vihar for pasting multiple posters on the tree.

Along with this, the civic body also lodged a complaint against the concerned organisation.
The BMC has warned against pasting unauthorised posters and banners on trees, utility poles and roadside walls. Anyone who illegally places posters in restricted areas will be fined.
Police complaint will also be filed against the concerned organisation, the BMC mentioned on X.
