Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) okayed opening of Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi’s office at Palaspalli, which was sealed a week ago.
In an order dated October 16, the BMC said that as per its previous decision to open all closed shops/commercial establishments/institutions in view of Durga Puja celebrations, the MP’s office too is being allowed to reopen.
The Palashpalli office was properly desanitized and the Bhubaneswar MP had to ensure that all other COVID-19 norms would be strictly adhered to, the notice noted.
The municipal corporation had sealed Sarangi’s office for two weeks starting from October 9 after videos surfaced which showed gross violation of Covid norms during her birthday celebration.
