Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday organised a cyclothon. Hundreds of cycling enthusiasts participated in the cyclothon to welcome Patha Utsav to be held on 24th December.
The cyclothon which was flagged off by Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das and BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange from Master Canteen Square at 7.00 AM returned via Ram Mandir Square, and PMG Square.
Cycling enthusiasts from all categories including over 400 youths of the city took part in the cyclothon.
To encourage the cyclists Mayor Sulochana Das and BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange presented certificates.
Hundreds of citizens are scheduled to participate in the walkathon to be organised by BMC tomorrow. The march will start from the Master Canteen Square and proceed to the BMC headquarters in Satyanagar.
Senior citizens, young men, women, teenagers, young people, people from all walks of life can take part in it.
Citizens who want to take part in this march have been requested by BMC to register their names at the BMC registration booth at Master Canteen Street before 7 am.
