Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will resume hearing of public grievances every Monday from July 1.
The authorities and concerned officers will listen directly to the citizens. As per government rules, while there is a different system of hearing special grievances in BMC, direct grievances are heard every Monday.
The BMC Commissioner and other officials usually listen to the people directly and take necessary steps to resolve public issues.
The grievances hearing was halted due to the election code of conduct. As per the instructions of the General Administration and Public Grievances Department, it will be resumed from July 1, Commissioner Rajesh Prabhakar Patil has informed.
The hearing will be held at the public grievance Chamber in the BMC office building every Monday (Working Day) from 10.30 AM to 1.00 PM. Citizens can present their grievances during this period.
