Sambalpur: In a suspected case of murder, Dhanupalli police on Saturday recovered bodies of a woman and her two children from a locked house in the Sunapalli area of Sambalpur city.
The deceased have been identified as Sazia Parveen and her two children Abdul Rehman (8) and Humera Taiba (6).
According to reports, after foul smell emanated from the locked house today, locals informed the police.
The bodies were recovered after police broke open the locked door of the house in the presence of a magistrate.
The deceased woman Sazia, a widow was staying in the house with her two children. Her husband had died two years ago.
Over the last few days, Sazia had developed a relationship with a youth. The said youth used to visit her. Locals claimed that there has been no trace of the youth for the last four days.
The killer after killing Sazia and her two children had wrapped the bodies in a bedsheet.
Police have seized the bodies and have launched an investigation into the matter.
