Sundergarh: The body of a half-burnt man, disposed of in a sack near Gariamal under Bargaon police limits, was spotted by locals here on Sunday.
The sack was found by the side of State Highway 10, and the body had started decaying, said reports. Bargaon police rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary inquiry.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. Prima facie it appeared that the man was murdered. Police sources said that it was very likely, the deceased belonged to a neighbouring stated.
A case has been registered by Bargaon police and the body was sent for autopsy. Further investigation is on.
