Subarnapur: The body of Prakash Mohanty, a resident of Gulapada village who had been missing since December 18, was recovered on Sunday from a field near Ganeshpur village under Binka police station limits.
Following the discovery, police detained four persons in connection with the case
According to reports, after Mohanty went missing, his family conducted a search but could not locate him. His wife, Banita Mohanty, lodged a complaint at the local police station, stating that her husband had left home with some people and had not returned.
Subsequent police questioning of the suspects revealed circumstances surrounding Mohanty’s death.
The police have recovered the body and are investigating the exact cause of death.
