Nabarangpur: The body of a youth with his legs tied was found hanging from a tree near the Beheraguda Mandei ground in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Thursday morning.
While the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the youth is a student of a local college.
According to reports, locals first spotted the body and informed the Nabarangpur Town police who arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem at the District Headquarters Hospital. The police have also launched a probe into the unnatural death to ascertain the reason behind the death and nab the culprits, if any.
According to police, initial investigation suggests that the youth might have been killed somewhere else and his body was brought to the spot and hung from the tree.
