Bhubaneswar: On completion of three days of police remand, the CID Crime Branch today produced Manoj Mishra, Alok Ranjan Udgata, Tribihari Panda and Pares Budek accused in the Bolangir fake certificate case before the SDJM court in Bolangir today.
During the remand period the accused persons were put to sustained questioning through a set of questions prepared beforehand by the CID Investigating Team, said an official press release.
According to the release, the accused persons have given crucial information about their modus operandi and the persons involved in the entire racket.
Necessary follow-up action shall be taken accordingly, the release added.
The release said that after meticulously examining and evaluating the information given to police during interrogation, their further Police remand will be considered.
Sub-Registrar, Bolangir has been requested not to allow any transactions of the five landed assets of accused Manoj Mishra believed to have been procured out of the ill-gotten money, the release added.
The Crime Branch has said that family members of both Manoj Mishra and Alok Ranjan Udgata have been examined and their replies are being examined in the light of statements given by the main accused persons.
The investigating team of CID CB is continuing the investigation at Bolangir, the Crime Branch added.
