Bhubaneswar: Bollywood playback singer Arijit Singh made a surprise visit to the historic Gadamadhupur royal palace in Jajpur district, attracting large crowds and highlighting the site’s enduring royal charm.
The acclaimed artist, accompanied by family members and associates, explored the centuries-old palace after being captivated by images of its grand architecture and remnants from the era of kings and zamindars shared on social media.
During the visit, Arijit was warmly hosted by Aparna Dhir Singh Bharadwaj, the current scion of the Gadamadhupur royal family, who guided him through the intricate carvings, artistic elements, and historical significance of the estate.
The singer appeared deeply enchanted by the palace’s unique design and preserved legacy.
Later, Arijit rode a scooter to the nearby Gadamadhupur Jagannath Temple, known for its architectural parallels to the famous Jagannath Temple in Puri. There, he offered prayers and immersed himself in the temple’s profound spiritual and cultural heritage.
