Koraput: In a major breakthrough, Borigumma police foiled a robbery plan with the arrest of six persons.
According to police, the youths were planning a major robbery in the area, but police nabbed them before they could execute their plan.
Speaking to the media, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Satyabrata Lenka said, “Police received a tip-off on January 28 that a group of eight-nine youths were planning a robbery. Acting on the information, the police team swung into action and caught three of the accused near Kosaguda Square. The other three were arrested at 4:30 am. The accused have previous criminal records, with cases registered against them in various police stations. The police have seized lethal weapons from their possession.”
Notably, the new IIC, Ramanand Sahu, has achieved this success within a short span of joining the station.
Police are continuing their investigation to uncover more details about the gang’s plans and connections.
