Boudh Collector Tours Tourist Spots, Pushes For Infrastructure Development

Boudh: Boudh Collector Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak on Sunday conducted an extensive visit to key tourist sites in the district, engaging with local residents and reviewing ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at promoting tourism.

The Collector visited Kurukupa village under Ambagaon Gram Panchayat in Kantamal block and the Dhungiamunda tourist site in Chhatrang village under Harbhanga block. During the visits, he personally climbed the mountain roads to inspect the sites and assess the existing facilities.

At Dhungiamunda, Collector Nayak visited the local temple and discussed with villagers plans to enhance the site’s appeal as a tourist destination. He walked nearly half a kilometer to reach the location, evaluating the tourist infrastructure and identifying areas that need improvement.

Collector Nayak emphasised the importance of developing these sites to attract more tourists and directed officials to expedite ongoing projects.

District Tourism Officer Prabhakar Kanhar and other officials accompanied the Collector during the visit, assisting in discussions and planning for future development initiatives.
