Bhubaneswar: A boy identified as Sumitendra Sahoo went missing after being swept away in Daya river on outskirts of the city today. Sahoo had gone to the river with three of his friends to take bath. At around 4 pm, while bathing in the river, the boy drowned and was swept away.
The boy is a native of Indira Colony in Lingipur area of the city. Till last reports came, the efforts to trace the boy were on. A team of Fire Service and ODRAF were pressed into service to rescue the missing boy. Meanwhile, Dhauli police have cordoned off the area for the convenience of rescuers.
