**Bhubaneswar**: The arrested accused named Pradyumna Parida who is suspected to have murdered the lady pharmacist of Apollo Diagnostic Centre will be forwarded to the court today, according to police commissioner Y.B Khurania.
“Both the accused and the victim ( Hasina Das) were earlier working in Kalinga Hospital. The victim had left her job and joined Apollo Diagnostic Centre a month ago. The accused Pradyumna Parida (36), hailing from Mayurbhanj is already married and was having an affair with Hasina Das. She did not want to continue with the relationship but the accused had insisted to continue it. On the day of murder, the accused called on her number a number of times, but the victim did not pick up. So, he had gone to her residence where he attacked her with a kitchen knife after a heated argument. Post multiple injuries by the knife, he had used a pillow to suppress her,” informed the Commissioner.
“The accused has been arrested and the mobile phone has also been seized. He will be court forwarded today,” he added.
Notably, the 19-yr-old pharmacist was murdered at her rented accommodation in Kanan Vihar, Chandrasekharpur a week ago. The woman hailed from Ersama block in Jagatsinghpur district and was working as a laboratory assistant in the city.
