Malkangiri: The Bonda tribal community in Mudulipada Boandaghati in Malkangiri district erupted in joy as Bini Muduli became the first woman from the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group to crack the prestigious Odisha Civil Service examination, the results of which were announced by Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Saturday.
A resident of Khemaguda near Govindapalli, Bini, who worked as an Ayurvedic assistant secured 596 marks in the ST category.
Daughter of Ram Muduli, a cook at Mudulipada High School, and Sunamani Kirsani, an Anganwadi worker, she studied at Mudulipada Primary School, JNV (up to class 12), and graduated from Bikram Dev College, Jeypore. Bini said that she prepared for the OPSC exam through self-study, utilizing online resources and YouTube.
She credited her success to her parents, teachers, friends, and colleagues. She aims to ensure the proper implementation of pro-tribal schemes for the Bonda community’s development.

I would work closely with the government to ensure all the pro-tribal schemes be implemented properly for the development of the Bonda community.

Bini’s achievement sparked widespread celebration, with villagers and local authorities felicitating her with a shawl and flower bouquet.
Similarly, Shyama Madhi of Patrel Village under Korakunda Block secured 631 rank while Bhagyashree Mishra of Mendululi Village under Mathili Block achieved 138 rank.
Pilholika Priyadarshini, a resident of Malkangiri Sadar Block cleared the OCS test with 484 rank.
