Raja Parba, considered the largest festival of Odisha, is a celebration of the essence, excellence, and exuberance of the state. It marks the time when Mother Earth becomes fertile for cultivation during the monsoon season. The festival is a tribute to the motherland, mother tongue, and motherhood, and the organisers have planned a grand celebration to showcase the state’s glorious history, amazing heritage, magnificent music, mesmerising dance, stunning attire, and mouth-watering cuisine.
The two-day-long cultural jamboree will feature scintillating dance performances, soothing music, and hilarious comedy acts by renowned artists from Odisha and the NCR. Dance forms like Odissi, Manipuri, Sambalpuri, Gotipua, Jhumar, tribal, and modern styles will be major attractions for the young attendees. Star performers from the entertainment world, including Comedy king Papu Pom Pom, noted singers Anandita Das, Debesh Pati, Papu Panda, Jyoti, and eminent actor-director Ashrumochan Mohanty, are expected to enthral audiences with their creative genius.
The food court will offer 30 authentic Odia dishes, including Cuttack’s famous Dahi Bara Aloo Dum, among many others. Each dish will carry the distinctive flavour of Odisha’s soil, representing the delicacy and legacy of Odia women.
