Brother-in-Law Tries To Burn Four Siblings Alive
**Kalahandi:** Three sisters and a brother sustained severe burn injuries after their brother-in-law allegedly pured petrol on them and tried to burn them alive as they were sleeping in their home.
This incident occurred at Duarsuni village under Bhawanipatna Sadar Police limits in Kalahandi district.
All the four were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), Bhawanipatna. Two of them are minors. The condition of the minor boy, Chandan Nayak is stated to be critical.
According to reports, the accused came around midnight on Wednesday and poured petrol on the sleeping siblings through the window. Then he threw a lighted matchstick. Though the exact cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, it seems to be an outcome of past family feud.
The parents of the injured lodged complaint against their son-in-law. “We have some personal enmity with our son-in-law Arun Nayak of Gontiapada in Bhawanipatana. He might have committed the crime”, said Gangadhar Nayak, father of injured children.
Police is investigating the case.
