Jharsuguda: A youth and his sister were killed in a tragic road accident here on Wednesday while his niece is battling for life with critical injuries.
The mishap took place at Vasant Vihar chowk in Badmal, while the three were on their way home at Chualiberna. A speeding trailer-truck coming from Sundergarh side knocked them down.
The three sustained serious injuries. While the woman, Anjali succumbed at the district headquarters hospital, her brother Rupesh died at VSS Medical College and Hospital in Burla.
Anjali’s four-month-old daughter is undergoing treatment. Local police have registered a case and sent the bodies for autopsy.
