Bhubaneswar: A joint team of the Jaleswar police and Excise Department officials have seized about two kg of brown sugar from Rajpura Basti during a raid today evening.
Police have apprehended two persons including a woman in this connection.
The accused have been identified as Amina Bibi and Seikh Rafique.
According to reports, acting on a tip-off, a joint team of Jaleswar police and Excise personnel raided Rajpura Basti leading to the seizure.
The seized brown sugar is estimated to be worth around Rs 2 crore.
Police have launched a further investigation into the matter.
