Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has finalised the arrangements for the Summative Assessment 1 of Class 10 students that is to commence from tomorrow (January 5).
President of BSE, Odisha, Ramashis Hazra, said that Summative Assessment 1 will be held for four days with two sittings on each day. All arrangements have been over for the conduct of the examination.
He informed that confidential materials have already arrived at nodal centres. All instructions have been issued to nodal centres and examination centres. The Board is in coordination with the District Education Officers (DEOs).
While the Board has constituted squads to supervise the examination, the DEOs have also constituted squads at their levels. Besides, District Collectors have also been asked to send their officials to examination centres for supervision, said Hazra.
BSE vice-president Nihar Ranjan Mohanty informed that 5,76,223 students are to appear for the examination at 3,093 examination centres. The confidential materials are now present at 311 nodal centres. It will be sent to examination centres tomorrow through the despatch teams.
The question papers will reach the examination centres by 8.30 am under full security cover. Out of the 311 nodal centres, 22 are in police stations and round-the-clock security have been put arranged at other nodal centres.
Besides, security will be available at each examination centre from 7 AM to 2 PM. All examination centres will be sanitized daily. Directions have been issued to follow Covid protocols.
While DEOs have constituted 62 squads, 40 squads have been constituted by the BSE. Further observers and squad will be provided in sensitive areas, added Mohanty.
