Malkangiri: Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have thwarted a Maoist attack by recovering some explosives near Kadalibandha village in Malkangiri district.
Based on intelligence inputs, the security forces had launched a search operation in Hantalguda forest under the Swabhiman Anchal of the district. During the operation, they came across a bag under a hill near Kadalibandha.
The bag contained two pressure-activated landmines, 1 tiffin bomb, medicines, clothes and other daily use materials.
On getting information, the bomb disposal squad immediately reached the spot and diffused the explosives.
