Malkangiri: Inspector General of Border Security Force (BSF), Satish Chandra Budakoti, during his two day visit to Malkangiri district on Tuesday interacted with the youths and inspired them to join the Security Forces and serve the country and assured them of all possible help in pre-recruitment training.
He motivated them to complete their education, remain healthy and fit and lead a lifestyle free of drugs and stress. Budakoti was accompanied by BSF DIG(G) Bipul Bir Gusain.
To win the hearts and minds of the local Tribals in Naxal Hotbed, in the presence of IG BSF Odisha Frontier, a Civic Action Program was organized at Village Badapadar on March 15.
In presence of Chitrakonda Block Chairman Rajeswari Khilo and other elected members, BSF distributed clothing and daily needy items along with school bags, school stationaries, and sports items such as football, volleyball, and volleyball nets and sanitizers to the tribal and students.
Under the aegis of Civic Action program, a Raising Star Sports Club was inaugurated at village Saraipalli. BSF’s 88 Bn has adopted the club and will provide all the sports items and necessary help and guidance for promoting health and fitness amongst the tribal youths.
Budakoti interacted with Malkangiri Zilla Parisad President Samari Tangul, who is also a native of Swabhimaan Anchal. IG assured her and other elected representatives, of all kinds of support for the safety and security in the region.
During his two days visit to sensitive areas of Malkangiri district, Budakoti interacted with the BSF Jawans, held Sainik Sammelan, motivated and commended them for their effective calibrated and extensive domination in the area which resulted in free, fair, and impartial polling in recent Panchayat Election in the district.
Budakoti reviewed the security scenario on the Odisha-Chhattisgarh and Odisha-Andra Pradesh border. He also interacted with the Senior Officers of local administration, reviewed and discussed the latest security scenario of the region.
