Keonjhar: A BSF jawan allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in his wife’s paternal village Sagadapata under Harichadanpur block of Keonjhar district.
The deceased identified as Umakant Nayak of Dhurudiamba village had come on leave on August 3 and had gone to his in-laws’ house at Sagadapata to meet his wife and son.
Last night, a fight broke out between Umakant and his wife following which he left the house. Today his body was found hanging from a tree in the village.
On getting information, police reached the spot, seized the body, and sent it for post-mortem. A probe has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause behind his death.
