Bhubaneswar: Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), the unique and flagship programme of the Odisha Government has made successful strides in effecting transformational changes particularly, in providing qualitative and universal clinical care to people of the State.
This was revealed during an internal review meeting chaired by State Health Assurance Society (SHAS) CEO, Dr Brundha D. Additional Secretary and Joint CEO Subhananda Mohapatra presented the updates for discussions.
The matters relating to the up-gradation of BSKY software by quick resolution of technical issues thereon, and timely payment of the claims raised by private sector hospitals against the treatment of people under BSKY figured in the meeting.
Dr Brundha also directed to scrutinise the papers properly as per the prescribed norms and genuineness before ordering for payment. The claimed amount should also be examined as per the fixed rate against the tests and packages.
Mohapatra advised the Nodal officers to be in constant touch with the empanelled hospitals outside the State through WhatsApp group and VC, and resolve technical issues regarding uploading papers, documents etc.
Review showed that as of now 554 super speciality hospitals from private sector were brought under the fold of BSKY. These hospitals were from different districts of Odisha, and various neighbouring states outside Odisha.
The major States included Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Chhatisgarh, West Bengal, Maharastra, Delhi, Gujrat, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajsthan, Telegana and Uttarakhand. Out of 554 total empanelled hospitals 103 were from the above States.
Recently, after due technical and administrative scrutiny of the other private hospitals, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik approved 29 Speciality and Multispecialty hospitals for inclusion under BSKY.
These hospitals included Samaleswai Multispecialty Hospital and Swaraj Hospital of Bolangir district ; and Chandi Das Eye Hospital, Narayan Hospital, Anantaram Memorial Cuttack Nursing Home, New Health Point Hospital, Barsha Hospital, Ratna Hospital, Appex Eye Care, Real Life Health Care, Unique Hospital, Sai Multispecialty Hospital, A.R. Hospital, Sanjeebani Nursing Home, Annapurna Nursing Home, Shree Hospital and Research Center, Sneha Nursing Home, Visakha Hospital, Cuttack Poly Clinic Private Ltd., Urban Hospital, and Devi Nurshing Home of Cuttack district.
Similarly, Sabita Health Care, A.K. Multi-specialist, and Causality Hospital operating in Jajpur district; Omm Sai Eye Hospital operating in Khurdha district, Indravati Eye Hospital in Nabarangpur district; Kailash Hospital, Health Care Hospital operating in Nayagarh district; and, Shree Nrusighanath Surgial Hospital, Panigrahi Maternity Nursing Home operating in Nuapada district were also approved for empanelment under BSKY.
Dr Brundha directed to expedite the process for empanelment of the new approved hospitals. These hospitals would be provided with Iris and POS machine, and Master Health Card for booking real time data regarding treatment of patients under BSKY. The hospitals were also requested to expedite the process for signing of the MOU with State Government.
The detailed list of the empanelled hospitals both inside and outside the state was uploaded in the website http://www.bsky.odisha.gov.in. Odia people staying outside the State temporarily, and intending to take clinical treatment under BSKY were advised to check up names of the hospital in the website before proceeding to the hospital.
