Bhubaneswar: Despite security deployment, burglars allegedly committed a series of loot in Metro Satelite City apartment at Hansapal under Pahal police limits in Bhubaneswar on Monday night.
The entire scene of the loot was captured on CCTV camera installed on the premises. The camera showed three to four miscreants entering the flat cautiously in semi-nude condition and breaking open the doors and later almirah before looting the valuables.
Residents alleged that miscreants looted all valuables including cash, gold jewellery in two flats of the apartment.
The burglars’ gang went on a looting spree and targeted two flats in two Blocks of the apartment.
Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation by examining the CCTV footage to nab the looters.
Police advised the societies in various residential complexes to deploy adequate trained security guards along with Alarm system. Police also suggested to install machine detectors and provide police helpline number to the security guards.
On the other hand, residents blamed lack of police patrolling for the loot.
