Burglars Steal Rs 30 Lakh

Bhubaneswar: A burglary has occurred in a flat in the capital city of Odisha, where gold ornaments worth Rs 30 lakh were stolen.

The incident took place in the home of Nirupama Sahoo in the Paika Nagar area under Nayapalli Police limits in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, the burglars struck when Nirupama’s family was away in Shirdi for a religious trip. They stole gold jewelry valued at Rs 30 lakh after breaking into the family’s locker.

Upon receiving a tip-off, the Nayapalli police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.

“This is my sister’s house. They had gone to Shirdi for darshan. We found out this morning that the gold had been stolen after the locker was broken open. We will inform the police,” said Nirupama’s brother.
