Burglary At Nabarangpur District Collector’s Office, Electronic Equipment Stolen

Nabarangpur: Unidentified burglers broke into the Nabarangpur District Collectorate office and decamped with electronic equipment worth lakhs of rupees.

A complaint has been registered at the Nabarangpur Town Police station in this connection. As per the complaint, the incident came to light on Monday when the staff members of the District Collectorate office resumed their duty after a holiday on Sunday.

According to Maheshwar Naik, Additional District Collector, Nabarangpur, the miscreants decamped with four computer monitors, two CPUs and a printer from the election sub-division room and Deputy Collector’s office room on the ground floor of the building.

The thieves reportedly entered the office building after breaking open a lock.

Nabarangpur Town police along with a scientific team and sniffer dogs visited the spot and initiated an investigation into the theft incident.
