Sundergarh: A bus owner was fined Rs 3.70 lakh for a violation of the Motor Vehicle Act here on Friday night. The bus was carrying a wedding party from Jharkhand to Bargarh.
The vehicle was intercepted by a police squad at Karamdihi under Sadar police limits during an enforcement drive. After a thorough check, the traffic inspector on-duty realised that insruance, fitness, pollution and road tax documents related to the bus were not valid.
At around 11 pm in the night, the police officials issued a challan of Rs 3.70 lakh for the aforementioned violations of MV Act. The bus was returning from Kurdeg in Simdega district of Jharkhand to Bargarh with a group which went for a marriage.
