Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident on NH-16 near Badachana in Jajpur, a bus-truck collision resulted in the death of one person and left at least ten individuals injured on Wednesday.
The bus driver died on the spot, while more than ten passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees as a consequence of the accident.
Injured passengers immediately rushed to the S.C.B Hospital, Cuttack, for emergency treatment.
The accident occurred when a bus, en route from Baripada to Bhubaneswar, carrying approximately 60 passengers, collided with a stationary Hyva (truck) on NH 16 near Kadai Chhak, Bandala, near Badachana in Jajpur district.
The exact circumstances which led to the deadly collision are still unclear.
Police officials have initiated an investigation.
