Bhubaneswar: In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases in the twin city of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, the onus of responsibility of following Covid-appropriate behaviour now lies on the business establishments, said Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi on Friday.
The hotel or mall owners or other business establishments have to ensure the people visiting such establishments follow the Covid-appropriate behaviour. Enforcement agencies can seal the establishments for seven days or more in case of violation of the guidelines.
Priyadarshi urged the people of the twin city to follow the Covid-appropriate behaviour, avoid crowding, follow the new guidelines set for marriages, and other functions. Any violation will meet strict action by the enforcement agencies.
Over 25 platoon of police force, over 100 officers will be deployed in the twin city to enforce night curfew and other guidelines, he added.
