Baripada: In a gruesome incident, a prominent businessman was murdered with throat slit at his residence Baripada’s Forest Colony in Mayurbhanj district this morning.
Businessman, Snehasish Panda, was found dead with his throat slit. The police have launched an investigation into the brutal killing.
According to eyewitnesses, an unknown assailant entered Panda’s residence and committed the heinous crime. Neighbours rushed Panda to PRM Medical College, but he succumbed to his injuries.
The police have cordoned off the area and begun a manhunt to nab the absconding killer. Police started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder, but motives remain unclear.
