Businessmen Looted At Gunpoint In Balangir, CCTV Captures Act

Balangir: Two brothers were looted at gunpoint by men on motorbikes just outside their shop on Balangir’s station road last night at 9 pm.

As per reports, Shibram and Dhrubacharan Meher were about to close their battery and invertor dealer shop when two men on a motorcycle approached them and enquired about batteries. Within a few minutes, two more came on another bike and all four of them branded guns.

The Meher brothers were scared for their lives and stayed quiet while two of the miscreants looted them. The robbers are said to have looted cash of Rs 5000, gold jewellery worth lakhs and three mobile phones.

This whole act was captured by a CCTV camera fixed in the shop. Based on the footage and the Mehers have filed a complaint.

The Balangir Police is yet to make a statement.
