Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet today approved a proposal for allotment of 2-acre land free of premium in favour of Bagchi-Sri Shankara Cancer Care Centre and Research Institute (BSSCCRI) for construction of rest house for accommodation of cancer patients.
The State government will provide 2 acres of land free of premium pertaining to revenue Plot No. 49 & 67 (P) in Khata No. 59/48 in Chandihata under Jatani Tahasil in Khurdha District to BSSCCRI for construction of patient stay home / rest house in the close vicinity of main hospital campus, said an official press release.
The BSSCCRI is a charitable organisation with philanthropic practice has volunteered to construct rest house for accommodation of cancer patients. It will give treatment to many cancer patients of which the socio-economic conditions of the patients may not be so affluent to stay for a longer period in hospital.
There is a basic necessity for construction of patient stay home / rest house in the close vicinity of main hospital campus at A2 Infovalley, Mouza Chandihata, Bhubaneswar, the release said.
This will help the cancer patients to avail stay at affordable price for a longer period of their treatment, the release added.
