Bhubaneswar: The Delhi police arrested the accused who threatened to kill BJP national vice president and former MP Baijayant Panda.
A special team of police arrested him from Bengaluru.
The accused threatened to kill Panda over the phone. The office of the BJP leader had lodged a complaint with police.
Delhi Police investigated the incident and tracked the phone call of the accused and caught him from Bengaluru.
He was brought to Delhi for interrogation. The accused admitted that he made such a call due to depression.
He also told police that there was no malicious intention behind the phone call. The accused has apologized and promised not to do such mischief in the future.
On the other hand, Panda’s office has requested the Delhi Police to release him without slapping any charges against him.
