Bhubaneswar: Capital Hospital, the premier government-run health facility in the State capital will very soon have MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) facility, announced Health & Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das.
“Considering the demands of the MLAs very soon I am going to hold a review meeting of Capital Hospital. We are going to start MRI facility at Capital Hospital very soon,” informed Das speaking to media persons here today.
The Health Minister today inaugurated a new drug distribution centre, an integrated physiotherapy centre and an e-bedded drug resistance TB ward at the Capital Hospital.
“Keeping in line with 5T mantra and ‘health care to everybody in Odisha policy’ of our Chief Minister and in view of reports of long queues at the drug store at Capital Hospital we opened a new drug distribution centre at the hospital today,” Das said.
“We have also opened an integrated physiotherapy centre and a new TB ward in Capital Hospital,” he added.
The Minister said that since thousands are availing free treatment and free medicines at Capital Hospital so he thinks ‘this is the best in India’ adding that all this was only possible due to the Chief Minister, who has been made Chief Minister by the people for the fifth consecutive term.
