Bhubaneswar: A dramatic accident occurred near Ulunda police station in Subarnapur district late last night when a Fortuner car speeding towards Sambalpur from Subarnapur hit an electric pole and overturned. The impact caused the electric pole to break, and the car was severely damaged.

Three people, including a minor, were rescued from the wreckage by the fire brigade and admitted to the district hospital. Due to the critical condition of one of the injured, they were shifted to Burla VIMSAR for further treatment.

The accident took a surprising turn when a country-made gun and live ammunition were recovered from the crashed car during the investigation. The police have initiated a probe into the incident and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and the presence of the firearm.

The injured have been identified as residents of Sambalpur city. The police are investigating to determine the ownership of the gun and the purpose of its presence in the vehicle. Further investigation is underway.
