Sambalpur: Two brothers-in-law were killed after the car they were driving was swept away in flood water here on Saturday night.
The mishap occured when the duo, identified as Tapas Nayak and Pratap Patel were crossing the Naktipali nullah under Kuchinda police limits.
The were natives of Gunduruchuan village. After several hours of search, the car and the bodies were retrieved by rescue personnel at around 5 am today morning.
Police have registered a case and sent the bodies for autopsy. The duo had gone to distribute cards for the ‘Shraddh’ of their uncle who had passed away a few days back.
