Dhenkanal: The carcass of an elephant calf was found in a pond in a forested area near Mahulipada village in Odisha’s Dhenkanal on Wednesday. Local villagers first sighted the carcass and informed the Forest department.
Forest officials said that the elephant calf is around five to six years old, but they could not ascertain the reason behind the animal’s death.
